Booking Tips and What to Expect

Book in Advance: For high season travel, especially between November and April, it’s recommended to book tickets a few days in advance. Many ferry and speedboat operators have online booking options or you can book through local travel agents on Koh Lipe.

Confirm Departure Points: While most boats leave from Pattaya Beach on Koh Lipe and arrive at Tonsai Pier on Koh Phi Phi, it’s best to confirm your departure and arrival points when booking to avoid confusion.

Pack for the Journey: If you’re taking the direct ferry or speedboat, bring sunscreen, a hat, water, and snacks for the journey. Also, keep valuables in a waterproof bag, as boats can sometimes get splashes, especially on the speedboats.

Be Prepared for Bumpy Rides: Both ferries and speedboats can get bumpy, especially if the sea is rough. If you’re prone to seasickness, consider taking medication before boarding and try to sit toward the back of the boat.
