Trang Airport to Trang Pier (Land Transfer)

From Trang Airport involves a combination of land and sea transport, making the journey as scenic as it is straightforward.

After arriving at Trang Airport, your first step is to get to one of the piers that serve Koh Mook. You have 2 piers options, with Kuan Tung Ku Pier and Pak Meng Pier. Kuan Tung Ku Pier being the closest and most commonly used for Koh Mook.

Private Taxi:

  • Taxis are available at Trang Airport and offer a comfortable, direct transfer to the pier. The trip to Kuan Tung Ku Pier takes about 1 hour and costs around 1200-1600 THB.

Trang Railway train Station to Trang Pier (Land Transfer)

Shared minivans are available from Trang town and can be booked from local travel agencies. The minivan ride to Kuan Tung Ku Pier takes around 40–50 minutes and costs approximately 100–150 THB per person.

Boat Transfer to Koh Mook

Once you reach the pier, you’ll need to take a boat to Koh Mook. Boats depart from Kuan Tung Ku Pier, and both speedboats and long-tail boats are available.

  • Private Speedboats offer a quick and convenient transfer to Koh Mook, taking around 15–20 minutes. Tickets cost approximately 3,000 THB per boat maximum 15 pax.

  • Long-tail Boat:
  • Private Long-tail boats provide a more traditional experience and are slightly cheaper, costing about 1200 THB per boat. Take around 20–30 minutes to reach Koh Mook, so it’s best to confirm availability upon arrival at the pier.

Local Ferry

Koh Mook typically has a shared ferry service departing from Kuan Tung Ku Pier, taking about 30–45 minutes to reach the island. This service runs once daily at 12:00 p.m. and is very affordable.


Arriving at Koh Mook

Boats from Kuan Tung Ku Pier typically drop passengers off at Koh Mook Pier or directly at some of the resorts on the island. From the pier, you can take a tuk-tuk or walk to your accommodation if it’s nearby. Koh Mook is small and easy to navigate, so transportation on the island is usually simple and convenient.
